Access Control
Kittle's Lock & Safe Co. offers many access control solutions. What's access
control? Access Control systems are electronic locking systems that allow the
customer to monitor and maintain complete control over the access of a particular
area. These electronic lock systems have varying capabilities. Some of the more
useful features include an audit trail of all activity, ability to control access
by time or schedule, ability to instantly add or delete users and if desired,
the ability to automatically unlock or lock doors on a time schedule. Many advanced
features are also available.

Audit Trail
Provides recorded, searchable data
that tracks card/user or door activity such as: who used the door, the
time and date of use, whether access was granted or denied, and the
status of the door or system.
Reports
Relates to the configuration
of data from the audit trail stored by certain system events, reporting
whether access was granted/denied, time and attendance, and any door
violations.
Access Levels
The combination of a created
schedule with selected doors as it applies to a particular user or group
of users. This allows individuals or groups to enter/exit different
doors at different times compared to another individual or group.
Passage Mode
Coordinated with scheduling,
during certain hours, this feature allows for "open" entry,
without identification (for during store hours).
Time Zones
Provide a created schedule used
in conjunction with: access levels, door unlock commands, and input monitoring
permitting control of access, events and door monitoring.
Holiday Schedules
Prevent user access on company
holidays (scheduled annual dates).
Remote Programming
Access Control Software is installed
in PC at one location and can control the Door Control Unit that is located
at a remote location. All programming and monitoring of access related events
are performed via modem or across LAN or other network.

Access Control Systems can use one or more methods of user identification. Systems
can be set up to use magnetic strip cards, proximity cards, "smart chip
cards" or numeric PIN codes can be entered. In instances where higher security
is needed or it is not desirable to carry a card or credential, biometric readers
(hand geometry, finger-print, facial point and/or retina scan identification)
can be implemented.
